“Vegetation of China” is a systematic summary of the results in vegetation ecology studies in new China since 1949. It comprises 35 chapters in four sections, attached with ‘Vegetation Map of China’ and ‘Vegetation Regionalization Map of China’. Section Ⅰbriefly reviews the history of Chinese vegetation studies. Section Ⅱcopes with vegetation types, Section Ⅲ deals with vegetation regionalization. Section Ⅳ put forwards ecologically-oriented strategies.
